He's Baaaaaack...

As frightening as it may sound, I want to attempt this poem-a-day thing again. Hopefully they won't be so generic this time.

I took the words they spoke in hand
And fashioned from them wings to fly.
I soon began to understand
The way the days of life passed by.
I saw kingdoms fall and true loves burn
Gazed on foolish hopes and ideas new,
But balked when it came my turn
To be seen as with a bird's view.
What a child! What glory I owned
Was borrowed from what my parents loaned.
And so I broke their wings and found
Myself, alone, on unbroken ground.
